  • 5f 6yds Handicap | 8 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Emerald green, red star and armlets. Frank The Barber (IRE)
2 Orange and royal blue diabolo, yellow sleeves, royal blue stars and cap. Margot Rose
3 Dark blue and yellow diamonds, dark blue sleeves. Swift Susie

    Timeform view

A chance is taken on FRANK THE BARBER, who lost his form after his second in a Bath maiden in July but returns off a potentially good mark on his AW debut with a tongue tie fitted. Margot Rose is next best after her good second at Southwell, ahead of Swift Susie.

  • 2m4f Novices' Hurdle | 13 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

    1 Mossies Well (IRE)
    2 Looking Well (IRE)
    3 Donna's Pride

    Timeform view

MOSSIES WELL got the job done in no uncertain terms at Ayr last time, and he looks worth siding with in a race containing plenty of longer-term projects. Looking Well clearly wasnt 100% at Kelso in November and he warrants respect on return, with Donna's Pride also of interest for each-way purposes.

  • 2m 110yds Conditional Jockeys' Novices' Hurdle | 11 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

    1 Aristo Du Plessis (FR)
    2 Stylish Chap (IRE)
    3 Prince Khurram

    Timeform view

ARISTO DU PLESSIS has a consistent profile and looks the most solid option, though Stylish Chap would be a big threat if a poor run last time was a one-off, while useful Flat sort Prince Khurram has been a bit disappointing over hurdles so far but it wouldn't be a shock if he fared better back after a break.

  • 1m5f Claiming Stakes | 6 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Light blue, maroon triple diamond, striped sleeves and star on cap. Astra Hall
2 Yellow, black seams, white and black hooped cap. Nebula Storm (IRE)
3 Black and yellow check, halved sleeves. Investissement

    Timeform view

ASTRA HALL was showing fairly useful form in handicaps last season and it's worth forgiving her heavy comeback defeat at Southwell for a new yard as she may have needed the run and was encountering a new surface. She may prove too good for these if that was just a blip. Nebula Storm is the obvious danger if bouncing back to form, while Investissement has a shout on these terms.

  • 2m 110yds Handicap Chase | 4 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

    1 Gin Cobbler
    2 Shine A Diamond (IRE)
3 Have You Had Yours (IRE)

    Timeform view

GIN COBBLER is far from a reliable proposition but has run well the last twice and is given the benefit of the doubt. Shine A Diamond is back below his last winning mark and a return to form could be on the cards now fitted with cheekpieces.
